I have been writing professionally since I enrolled at N.C. State University in August 1981 and went to work for Technician, the student newspaper, as a sportswriter. I have worked as a writer/editor for The Associated Press, Coman Publishing, Inc., The News & Observer (Raleigh, N.C.), Biblical Archaeologist, TotalSports and the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. I am currently Treasurer of From the Heart Romance Writers where I am an active member of the Critique Forum and help members with edits of their works in progress.
I have served as a judge for the Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards (e-book and hard copies) competitions in the general fiction category since 2019.
I also enjoy writing and have self-published several books on Amazon.
