Bunker Hill Covered Bridge – Catawba County
A short drive off Interstate 40 in Catawba County stands the Bunker Hill Covered Bridge, surrounded by trees that make it invisible from Old U.S. 70 during the summer. One of two covered bridges still in existence in North Carolina (along with the Pisgah Bridge in Randolph County), the Bunker Hill Covered Bridge is an important link to the state’s past, and Catawba County is helping efforts to preserve it for future generations.
